Question 1

1. Are Citroen cars reliable, or is that a myth?

Accepted Answer

Reliable enough for daily driving, especially newer models. The main risk sits with older hydropneumatic suspension.

Question 2

2. Is Citroen suspension expensive to fix if it goes wrong?

Accepted Answer

It can be, on older DS or C5 models with hydropneumatic spheres. Newer PHC-equipped cars like the C4 Cactus avoid most of that cost entirely.

Question 3

3. What's the difference between hydropneumatic and PHC suspension?

Accepted Answer

Hydropneumatic uses pressurized fluid spheres for a famously smooth ride. PHC is a simpler, modern version that keeps most of the comfort without the upkeep.

Question 4

4. Is a used Citroen from Japan a safe buy?

Accepted Answer

Generally yes. Japanese ownership favors scheduled servicing. So the suspension and hydraulics are more likely to have been maintained properly.

Question 5

5. How much does a used Citroen cost compared to similar cars?

Accepted Answer

Usually less than a comparable German or Japanese hatchback. Request a quote for exact current stock.
